we were away for a bit.
didn’t mention it before we left, because frankly we had no warning either.
see the way it works when we don’t actually get to go on the vactation, is this - one day everything is groovy and we are hanging out around the house. suddenly there is a flurry of laundry being done, our people running errands and talking on the phone a lot, our beds and cages get washed, we get bathed in haste, our food and toys being packed up and suddenly we are being whisked away. sometimes we go to the same place. sometimes not.
it’s a constant, crazed acceleration to our departure. our people don’t give us any warning or hints until the craziness begins and wait until the last moment to finally own up to the fact that we are staying behind. they think this will cause us less stress and angst about the fact that we can’t go.
people logic, i just don’t know.
